Visual Merchandising Coordinator


EyeCare Partners is looking for an innovative Visual Merchandising Coordinator (located in our corporate office in Ballwin, MO) to oversee product displays standards, product plan-o-grams for varying Optical office sizes and communication with the Operations Team with the goal of providing an excellent in-office experience

This position is responsible for executing a visual merchandising strategy for Optical products and ensuring the strategy is in line with the Optical brand, products and target market based on direction from the Director of Merchandising. 

The Visual Merchandising Coordinator will work directly with existing vendors to ensure fixtures and creative materials are sourced.

The Visual Merchandising Coordinator will be responsible for insuring plan-o-grams are sufficient for displaying products needed to achieve planned sales by Office. Liaising with product planning, operations, marketing, training and real estate planning, as needed.


Primary Functions

  • Prepare visual guides instructing Optical offices throughout the US how to appropriately build out product displays, ensuring uniformity of displays across multiple office locations
  • Act in alignment to the organizations image, products and target market
  • Get to know the customer base and understanding motivation and sales drivers
  • Thorough understanding of merchandising trends and industry best practices
  • Excellent communication skills, including speaking, writing and listening
  • Ability to analyze sales merchandising reports and draw relevant conclusions
  • Strong time management abilities, including planning and prioritizing workloads
  • Maintain library of all office photos, product presentation boards and visual product needs
  • Work with vendor partners to get brand(s) images, logos and creative materials
  • Reviewing competitors, including pricing, marketing and other progress



  • Undergraduate Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing or a related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in the visual merchandising sector of retail industry
  • Creative and innovative thinking
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential 
  • Experience at using Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as InDesign or other visual design tools is extremely useful
  • Able to travel as needed to visit Optical offices


Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and move up to 10 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to climb ladder, stoop or kneel down, move fixtures on wheels and unpack product boxes.
